Just Relax Floatation, owned by Lucas Harger, is one of only two places in Michigan to float.  Lucas began researching floatation tanks in 2005. Lucas was interested in their usefulness in achieving deep states of meditation.  As Lucas used the tanks himself, he found that they were useful for many other things.  To date he has used the tanks to manage stress and treat physical pain in addition to improving his mental and emotional well-being and focus.  For Lucas, one of the most gratifying results of using the tanks has been that he successfully quit smoking.

Lucas' personal experience with the floatation tanks motivated him to share this healing modality with others.  In June of 2006 Lucas opened his first floatation tank, a Samadhi Eco Tank, in the kitchen of his two bedroom house.  Only the most dedicated of souls were willing to float in his kitchen, so in March 2007, Lucas moved Just Relax Floatation to Oasis Hot Tub Gardens and switched from the Samadhi Eco Tank to one Oasis Relaxation Systems Floatation tank. In September 2008, Lucas opened a second tank, a Samadhi Classic Floatation tank.

From the humble beginnings in his home, through his journey at the Oasis Hot Tub Gardens, the next adventure has been moving Just Relax Floatation into the MVP Athletic Club building in Rockford.  Just Relax Floatation is excited to be in a building that also houses a fitness facility, swimming pools, chiropractic office, physical rehabilitation center, a hearing specialist and even a church!  Located near D&W Foods and less than a mile from the Meijer White Pine Trail, we hope to be more easily accessible to a wide variety of guests.  We will be updating this website frequently as to our progress towards reopening our tanks - as well as sending out updates to those of you on our e-mail list.  We look forward to floating you soon! :)
